About Ben

I was born in Timisoara, Romania where I lived for twelve years. It was in November of 1995 when I came to the United States with my family. This was the beginning of a new life and exposure to the flooring business. The first couple of years were financially rough for my family. As a result, I was dad's helper, who was a flooring contractor, on Saturdays and school holidays. Although I was not too fond of the idea, I did not have much choice. Little did I know that I would later enjoy managing and growing a flooring business.

In 2002, I graduated high school and pursued my education at Georgia State University. I enrolled as a full-time student while working the family flooring business. Although it was quite a challenge to focus on school and work, I graduated in May 2006 from GSU with a BA in Economics and concentration on Business Analysis and Economic Thought.

Despite the many options that my degree offered, my attachment to the family business was stronger. Furthermore, I saw the opportunity to apply all the knowledge I had accumulated into a trade that not only I grew up with, but also came to enjoy. I believe in the potential of our company and the promise to help each customer walk on the floor of their dreams.

In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, and studying, discussing, teaching about the purpose driven life God offered us through His grace. In 2006,  I married the love of my life, Eunice, and are currently expecting our first born, Ethan.  We are both thrilled and exited to meet him as we transition into this new chapter of our life, parenthood.

August 13, 2014: My wife and I finally met Ethan, a still-born baby.

"August 13, 2014 Ethan stepped into our lives and left an unforgettable impression on our hearts. An impression that was sudden, ruthless, cold, and that dug deep as the stark reality of darkness knocked us to the ground. Yet in such moments of confusion and sorrow, a Light of healing, love, and grace softened that impression and out of it flowed an overwhelming abundance of peace, hope, and joy that we didn’t know was possible. Ethan, you have a special place in our hearts that no person could ever replace. Not a day has gone by that we don’t think about you and long to hold you. As we reflect, we wonder what you would have been like now, how you would smile at us, and what new discoveries you’d undertake. But we find comfort in knowing that no place could be better than resting in the arms of the One who created you and that one day we will kiss those tiny feet once more. We love you and miss you, mommy & daddy."

"The future might be better than we think. Through the lens of faith,Ethan is more a part of our future than our past. Though he feels like he is slipping away from us, we are actually moving closer to him each day. Scarcity says look what you've lost, but the kingdom of God says look what you are about to gain! God wants to give us more and not less."

In loving memory of Ethan:

July 13,2015: Our family was blessed with Seth Micah Istoc.
